What we can do for you
Your photocard driving licence requires renewal every ten years. Skip the online form and bring your current licence to us — we'll process the renewal at the counter. You can also renew your vehicle tax (road tax) in-branch without needing to use the DVLA website. Just bring your V5C logbook or the DVLA reminder letter.

What to bring
Driving Licence Renewal
- D1 application form — available free in branch
- Your current driving licence (both parts if you have an old paper counterpart)
- A valid passport-style photo (or use our in-branch photo service)
- Payment by card or cash (DVLA fee applies)
- If renewing for medical reasons: completed D4 medical form signed by your GP
We post your application first class on the spot — no need to go to a DVLA centre.
Vehicle Tax (Road Tax)
- V11 reminder letter (the yellow slip from DVLA) — OR just your vehicle registration number
- Valid MOT certificate (if your vehicle is over 3 years old)
- Valid motor insurance (your policy number or certificate)
- Payment by card or cash
No V11 letter? No problem — your registration number is enough and we can still process it.
Can I renew my photocard driving licence here?
Yes. We process DVLA photocard driving licence renewals at the counter. You'll need your current licence, a valid UK passport (or a passport-style photo if you don't have one), and your National Insurance number. The renewal fee is currently £17. Your new licence typically arrives within two to three weeks.
Can I apply for a provisional driving licence here?
Yes. We handle provisional licence applications in-branch. You'll need proof of identity (passport or equivalent) and your National Insurance number. The fee for a provisional car licence is currently £34.
Can I update my address on my driving licence here?
Yes. You're legally required to update your address on your driving licence when you move. We process address changes at the counter at no charge. Bring your current licence and proof of your new address.
Can I renew my vehicle tax (road tax) here?
Yes. Bring your V5C logbook (vehicle registration certificate) or the V11 renewal reminder letter from the DVLA, along with a valid MOT certificate and proof of insurance. We'll process the renewal at the counter and you'll receive confirmation on the spot. You can renew up to two months before the current tax expires.
