What we can do for you
We handle the full range of Royal Mail services — from standard letters to Special Delivery and International Tracked — as well as Parcelforce Express 48 Large for bigger items. We're an official DPD and Evri point: you can buy DPD and Evri postage at the counter, or simply drop off pre-labelled parcels for either carrier. Need to send regularly? Ask about our Drop & Go account for faster, pre-paid drop-offs. We sell packaging, boxes, and packing tape in-branch.

What to bring
Sending a Parcel (UK)
- Your parcel — securely sealed and ready to post
- Recipient's full name and complete delivery address (including postcode)
- Your return address, in case of non-delivery
- Payment by card or cash
Not sure about packaging or size? Bring your parcel unsealed and we'll advise you — we also sell boxes, bags, and tape in branch.
Sending a Parcel (International)
- Your parcel — securely sealed and ready to post
- Recipient's full name and complete delivery address, including country
- Your return address
- Description of contents, their value, and purpose (gift, sale, return) — for the customs form (CN23), which we'll complete with you
- Payment by card or cash
We fill in the customs declaration with you at the counter. Be accurate — undervaluing can cause seizures or delays at customs.
DPD / Evri Drop-Off
- Your parcel — fully sealed and labelled (or your QR code if label printing is available)
- Your DPD or Evri booking confirmation / QR code on your phone
- Nothing else — we scan it in and give you a receipt
Hold onto your drop-off receipt. It's proof the parcel entered the carrier's network and is essential if you need to raise a query.
Proof of Postage
- Your item, ready to post
- Ask for a free certificate of posting at the counter — it takes seconds
- For tracked items: we'll print a receipt with a tracking number
A free certificate of posting is your only evidence for standard (untracked) post. Always ask for one — it costs nothing.
Can I drop off DPD and Evri parcels here?
Yes. We're an official drop-off point for both DPD and Evri. If you have a pre-labelled parcel from either carrier, just hand it over at the counter and we'll take care of it. You'll receive a receipt as proof of drop-off.
Can I send a parcel internationally?
Yes. We offer Royal Mail International Tracked and Signed, International Tracked, and International Standard. We can also help with Parcelforce for larger or heavier parcels. The right service depends on your budget and how quickly you need it to arrive — come in and we'll help you choose.
What is Drop & Go?
Drop & Go is a Royal Mail account for regular senders. You pre-pay and pre-label your items, then drop them off at the counter without needing to queue for a full service transaction. It's particularly useful for small businesses and regular online sellers. Ask us in-branch for details.
What's the cheapest way to send a large parcel?
For heavier or bulky items, Parcelforce Express or Royal Mail's large parcel options are usually the most cost-effective. Check our price list for a rough idea, then come in for an accurate quote based on the actual weight and dimensions.
Do you sell packaging — boxes, padded bags, tape?
Yes. We stock a range of Royal Mail boxes and padded bags in various sizes, as well as packing tape. If you're unsure what size you need, bring your item in and we'll help you find the right packaging.
What is Special Delivery and when should I use it?
Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed is a next-day tracked service with delivery by 1pm. It comes with £750 compensation as standard (higher cover available up to £2,500) and requires a signature on delivery. Use it for anything valuable, urgent, or irreplaceable — legal documents, jewellery, or time-sensitive items.
